INTRODUCTION

Over the last two decades, a new school of economics has emerged in the American economic research community known as the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee (GATA). Several thousand economists, financiers, lobbyists, legal experts, and entrepreneurs use the GATA’s website to maintain a highly professional dialogue with the powers that be and to exchange knowledge among themselves.

I was the only participant from Russia at two high-level GATA conferences held in Klondike in 2005, and in London in 2011. I reviewed over 20,000 documents which were either published on the GATA website or linked to documents published on the GATA website. As a researcher with 30 years of experience in studying various branches of economic science around the globe, I categorized the 20,000 documents into a 12-digit registry, obtaining, as a result, for the first time in my life, a unique holistic view of today’s global economy, including the digital economy, i.e., the view adhered to by the GATA American economic scientific society…
